Ah, to paint again! Picked up this weird little druid guy again. I polled my fan base and she told me she thought he ought to be blonde, and I agree. So, my first attempt at blonde. It’s not quite where I wanted, but I will do some highlighting on that part to bring out some yellow and then probably wash with a light Agrax Earthshade and water wash to deepen the tones and recesses.
Extra props to the artist for throwing in this Grateful Dead style skull and rose. As I began painting it, Estimated Prophet began playing in my head. Not sure who sculpted this guy or where he comes from, but I always get lots of tips from my fans when I say that so by all means; comment with the info if you can! I always appreciate picking up these mysterious used miniatures from my favorite FLGS, blogging about them and then learning a ton about them later from you guys. Thank you!
