I’ve started painting a Dragon Miniature and went with red. The classic Red Dragon is iconic, and I am hoping to make this one live up to its name. Here it is with just a base coat of Citadel Mephiston Red foundation.
Here it is after gluing and coating in primer. I used Crazy Glue to attach the wings and the top of the head/snout.
Thanks for suffering my All Your Base Are Belong To Us references, I couldn’t resist. Here are some more shots of the dragon all around. It’s just a single coat of Citadel Mephiston Red all over. The belly scales and other details will all be painted over. I will continue to update this Work In Progress, so stay tuned!
Here’s a bonus few shots I took of those two Undead Construct (or flesh golem?) miniatures. I don’t know if I want to sell these or use them, such a labor of love they are.
And finally, a couple of shots of plain old nerdy shopping. I picked up a spritz bottle, an applicator bottle and box of nylon gloves at the beauty store. For those who sculpt and otherwise paint and manipulate miniatures, check out a beauty store like Sally’s Beauty if you have one near by. You can pick up stuff like these items, plus interesting brushes, masking and other items for nail painting. The “dotting tool” might be of interest to sculptors.
